Trends: Handbags That Light Up Inside

Almost every woman has been there, in a club or a movie theater and she needs to find something in her purse but she can't see a thing. A new First Coast Trend is shedding a little light on the issue.

Handbags are all the rage right now. But there is one bag that goes above and beyond the call of duty.

On the outside the Solas bag looks like a normal, stylish handbag. But when you open the Solas bag, it lights up. The inside of the bag is lined with long, thin light bulbs connected to a AA battery pack.

The creator and designer of Solas Fashion says she was tired of being in the dark. "My Fiancé and I were in a dark martini lounge and once again I lost everything to the abyss of my purse," Kara Kurcz, creator and designer of Solas Fashion. "He was messing around using my cell phone for a light and said you need an actual light in this thing and I said that's a brilliant idea."

Women can get the Solas bag in any size, color and style. In addition to clutches, women can also buy light up cosmetic cases and tote bags. "It's great because people don't even know there's a light at first," says Kurcz. "They pick up the bag and they say 'this is beautiful'". And when they found out there is a light inside, they say its amazing."

Women can even choose the color of light they want. They come in both blue and white lights.

Celebrities are already clamoring over the bags. Cameron Diaz, Vanessa Minnelo and Jamie Lyn Spears all carry the trendy handbags. And Angela Kinsey from NBC's "The Office" even took her Solas clutch to the Emmy's. And her show won an Emmy, maybe the bag was her lucky charm.

The cost of the bags range from $125 to $269.
